1950s Corona Vienna Gold Green and Red Paisley Lame Dress

This 1950s midi dress was crafted in Austria by Corona Vienna. The silk lame fabric is of a very high quality; decadent gold lame is interwoven with a glossy silk-satin. Up close, the creamy gold silk is detailed and woven with strands in rich hues of navy, russet, forest green and yellow. Step further back and these colours form an elegant, blown-up paisley pattern. The dress is tailored to a flattering, traditionally lady-like silhouette with small cap-sleeves. The neckline is low and draped with a cross-over front and the skirt is softly pleated at the front of the waistband. The dress is lined in cream acetate at the top whilst the skirt section is unlined.

In very good to excellent vintage condition and very wearable. We noted a very small invisible repair in the lame which can only be seen if you hold the dress up to light. There are belt loops but no belt remains with the dress. The zip has been replaced by Circa, like-for-like with a zip the same age as the dress. It has no size or composition labels so please check our measurements below as the fabric has no stretch. Our estimate for fit is UK sizes 8-10 or US 4-6.
