1960s Cream Wool Shift Dress with Diamond Cut-Out Detail
Description
This fabulous quality 1960s cream A-line shift dress features many hallmarks of the mod era. The fabric is weighty, a heavy cream wool that feels luxurious to touch. There are four diamond-shaped cut-outs across the front, backed with cream wool so as not to be riské. It has short-sleeves, a rounded neckline and falls below the knee. The dress fastens at the back of the neck with a hidden tonal zip and hook-and-eye clasp. Lined with white satin for a comfortable wear.
Unlabelled and couture made in France by a very competent atelier, no doubt inspired by the haute couture collections of space age designers like Cardin and Courreges. The dress is in excellent vintage condition with no issues. It has no size or composition label so please check the measurements below carefully as the fabric has no stretch. We estimate a best fit for sizes UK 10-12, US 6-8.
