Description

These early 1960s novelty peep-toe heels were retailed by upper-crust British label Russell and Bromley, a heritage brand founded in 1873 and which sadly went into administration in January 2026. Crafted from smooth white leather, these slingbacks feature a small peep-toe opening. Each toe is decorated with six leather-covered spheres in rainbow hues which form a pretty flower. They are secured at the ankle with a heel strap. The 'jelly mould' heel measures 3” or 8cm in height. The inner soles are labelled in gold with the words “Martinique For Russell and Bromley”. Made in Spain they are a narrow size US 8 or UK 5.

For shoes of this age, they are in good vintage condition and present very well. We noted general age appropriate wear to the inner soles and a few light markings and nicks to the white leather. The sole is lightly worn on the underside (please see pictures).
