This sensational 1970s fully beaded full-length dress is from classic Italian designer Andre Laug and is of exceptional quality. This incredible dress is embellished in its entirely with monochrome and silver sequins and rocaille beadwork arranged in a chequered design to striking effect. The intensity of the beading creates a pleasing weight and the dress simply exudes timeless Hollywood style glamour. Featuring cap sleeves, a V neckline and a vent at the back of the skirt to allow fluidity of movement, the dress is in excellent vintage condition, it is fully lined in black and fastens with a zip at the centre reverse. Would best suit a US size 6, UK 10.

NOTES ON DESIGNER:
André Laug was a chic but conservative designer renowned for his impeccable and timeless tailoring. His catwalk shows are remembered for his beautifully tailored, comfortable daywear and classic, elegant eveningwear. At the beginning of his career in the 1960s he designed for Nina Ricci and Courreges in Paris. After branching out on his own, he ran a successful haute couture and ready to wear fashion house in Rome from the 1970s until his death in 1984.
