Description

This magnificent late 1960s/ early 1970s maxi dress with white organza bodice and quilted blue and white printed skirt comes with an exquisite matching jacket and is in absolutely beautiful vintage condition. By Fernando Pena, the halter neck dress features a pretty white organza ruffle around the neck, and has zig zag seams over the bust to sculpt and elevate the figure with a low scoop at the reverse to reveal the back. The floor length skirt is gathered below the dainty waistline and the striking abstract print in electric blue has a wonderful interplay over the textured surface of the quilted fabric. The cropped jacket matches the fabric of the skirt, it is collarless with short sleeves and is designed to be worn open. In remarkable condition and of superb quality, this wonderful dress suit would be the perfect choice for a wedding and would best suit US size 2-4, UK size 6-8.
