1970s Jeff Banks Geometric Purple Blouse
Description
This enigmatic 1970s purple geometric blouse with pussy bow collar detail is a piece by celebrated British designer Jeff Banks, as part of his successful 1960s and 1970s boutique brand Clobber. This piece is both smart and feminine, with slightly rushed shoulders and subtle bishop style sleeves. The designer has incorporated elements of Western style with the use of front-facing shirt yokes that triangulate beautifully below each shoulder and a captivating Aztec textile design that "wallpapers" the piece. Pretty transparent perspex shank buttons decorate the front fastening and cuffs. In very good vintage condition with one small area of fusing to the shoulder which we have carried out in our restoration studio. Labelled a vintage size 12; however, the blouse is tiny in comparison to modern sizing and would best fit US size 0, UK size 4.
