Circa late 1980s to early 1990s Jean-Charles de Castelbajac knitted cotton sweater. The Moroccan born French designer is best known for his pop art inspired fashion designs, specifically his artistic relationship and collaborations with Keith Herring.

This excellent quality sweater was manufactured in Italy from 100% cotton and has an eye-catching nautical design in navy, yellow, white, green, red and true blue. It is long sleeved with a crew neck and ribbed finishing at the hem. Several nautical themed appliques are embroidered on the front.

In excellent vintage condition having retained all its vitality and labelled a French size 42. The jumper would suit a range of sizes from US size 8-10, UK size 12-14 and could be considered unisex for up to a size small-medium.
