1980s Louis Feraud Navy Silk Taffeta Dress

This lovely Louis Feraud late 1980s or early 1990s navy party dress in silk taffeta is both stylish and playful in its aesthetic. The simple bodice of stretched silk blend crepe adheres effortlessly to the contours of the wearer. The bodice with its shallow round neck and cap sleeves is a well considered contrast to the elaborate construction and embellishment of the full skirt. The pure silk taffeta has been skilfully teased into a puff style skirt that suspends from a low waistline in a series of gathered pleats. Large taffeta bows with a silver blue ribbon trim embellish the overlay to enhance the sense of volume and movement in the piece.
