1990 Yves Saint Laurent Colourful Abstract Print Shirtwaister Dress
Description
This staple dress is from the 1990 A/W Rive Gauche collection from Yves Saint Laurent. The simple lines create a classic silhouette that can be dressed up or down as evident in the runway pictures where both the print and design were featured in separate looks. The dress hits right at the knees and buttons up to the collar with 6 x striking gold flower etched buttons. The dress is delicately pleated at its yoke and cuffs adding a soft texture to this marvellous 'kaleidoscope' abstract flower print. Composed of 100% wool and lined in a satin-finish acetate rayon mix. In excellent vintage condition with no visible flaws and a very fresh appearance. Labelled a French 36, this dress will fit a US 4-6 or UK 8-10 and sizes bigger on account of the loose fit.
