A very rare and amazing picture with the band in their closet with their clothes hanging up above their heads. The New York Dolls were one of the earliest New York punk rock bands, formed in 1971 and were known for cross dressing and being very macho. The only clubs that would let them play were lesbian clubs and they adopted a look that went down well in these establishments. They released two albums: New York Dolls (1973) and Too Much Too Soon (19740  After they broke up in early 1976 after a disappointing period of being managed by Malcolm McLaren, , David Johansen and Johnny Thunders went on to form the Heartbreakers that Leee Black Childers the photographer managed and brought to the Anarchy Tour in Britain in 1976.

Leee Black Childers is a legendary photographer and music figure, starting as a photographer in the Factory, then tour manager for David Bowie and Iggy Pop before bringing the hearbreakers to Britain for the Anarchy tourl.

Leee sadly passed away in 2014. His signed photos are very rare and collectable. This is one of his very best.
