1970s French Haute Couture Gold Ruched Belt

This glamorous belt was designed by an unknown French couture house in the 1970s and probably accompanied a decadent ensemble. Crafted from gold leather with a ruched, textured finish. It is backed with nude leather and designed to hold its shape stiffly. At the middle front and at each end of the belt, there are flat gold bands that circle the ruched leather.

The belt fastens with two silver-tone metal hooks that are secured into holes in the leather - there is the option of three lengths for between a 28.5 in to 30 in waist (72-76 cm). The belt is in excellent condition with no issues and we consider that the gentle signs of wear are commensurate with age. Suitable for size small.
