1970s Yves Saint Laurent Black Suede Pirate Boots

These are Circa's favourite boots and designed by Yves Saint Laurent in the late 1970s. Made with soft black suede and turned-over cuffs, finished with playful zig-zag ribbon work and tied at the back with suede bows. A gently bohemian take on the classic pirate style, with a low 1.1-inch heel for easy wear. The insides are lined in smooth gold leather with the designer's name at the bottom. Made in Italy, they are stamped “Cuir” (leather) on the sole.

These boots are in very good vintage condition with no flaws to the suede, aside from a tiny bit of wear to the back heels - hardly noticeable when worn. The soles show wear in keeping with their age and the heels are replacements that have started to wear down (please see picture). They are labelled a US size 6M which corresponds to a UK 4 or EU 37 but please check our measurements below.
