1991 Christian Lacroix Runway Yellow Jacquard Jacket with Black Lace
Description
This elongated, collarless jacket is from Christian Lacroix’s Spring 1991 collection. The runway image of this piece is a wonderful find - we love how the designer demonstrated his genius eye for colour by pairing it with a baby pink dress. Crafted in a bright yellow geometric jacquard, it features subtle flower- and star-like motifs. The front fastens with a concealed black metal zipper, framed on both sides by dramatic black lace trim that also continues down the back and along the cuffs. The lace is overlaid with signature Lacroix ribbon work, adding texture and dimension characteristic of the designer’s early 1990s detailing. It is fully lined in tonal yellow silk.
This runway documented and archival vintage jacket is in excellent condition with no issues. Labelled a French 38, it's on the smaller side of the size so please check the measurements below. It is made from 100% Cotton and the fabric has no stretch. Our model's sizes are: Bust: 31" (80cm), Waist: 25" (64cm), Hips: 34" (87cm) and Height: 5' 4" (164cm). She's a size UK 6, US 2 and loved the fit. We believe this will work on sizes up to a UK 8-10, US 4-6 max.
