1930s Russell and Bromley Gold Low Wedge Sandal 39.5
Description
These striking strappy sandals were designed by classic British label Russell and Bromley. Founded in 1873, the debossed gold label dates these shoes back to the late 1930s. Crafted from a rich gold and lined with off-white leather, these sandals feature a caged front with a small peep-toe opening. They are secured at the ankle with an ankle strap with an adjustable buckle. The low wedge heel measures just over 1”. These highly adaptable summer shoes are labelled with the words “Made in Belgium Especially For Russell and Bromley”. For shoes of nearly a century of history, they are in very good vintage condition with no flaws of note and no marks to the outer gold leather. The leather is lightly worn on the underside and they are labelled a 39.5 D, this equates to a UK 7 standard fit.
