1950s Black Textured Jacquard Dress with Peplum

A timeless 1950s shape, this short-sleeve little black dress has a pencil skirt and a cinched waist and tie belt to accentuate the female figure. The voluminous peplum overskirt is crafted from the same fabric and is lined with layers of tulle for added drama. It is tailored from a textured slightly stiffened jacquard fabric, woven with an arresting mottled effect which alternates between matte and sheen. A subtle pleat in the back of the skirt allows ease of movement. The dress is secured with a hidden zip at the rear and is in excellent vintage condition with no discernible faults. Unlabelled but of excellent US manufactured quality; a best fit for a size UK 8 or US 4. Our model is a UK 6-8 and 5ft 4in (163cm) and this dress fit her well.
