1970s Geometric Print Lurex Shirt Dress
Description
This 1970s dress is tailored to a casual, shirt-dress style that contrasts the flamboyant, metallic-streaked cloth. It has a button-down front that fastens with coordinating fabric-covered buttons. The neck has a wide tie that can be knotted at the neck in a loose knot, a pussy-bow style or can be left to hang loose. The skirt is pleated and falls to the calf, flipping out around the wearer as they walk whilst the metallic thread catches the light. Decadent balloon sleeves end in wide cuffs - again, secured with fabric-covered buttons. The fabric is the real star of the show; an eye-catching geometric print in burnt-orange, ochre and aqua tones erratically streaked with gold and silver lurex thread. It fastens under the left hand side with the original tonal zip.
This dress is in excellent vintage condition with no issues of any note. It has no label but is a well manufactured piece of quality fabric although it has no stretch. We estimate a good fit for sizes up to a UK 12-14 or US 8-10.
