1975 Yves Saint Laurent Runway White Cotton Skirt and Top Set

This classic, white cotton summer ensemble is from the spring summer 1975 ready to wear collection by Yves Saint Laurent. The top has balloon-sleeves and a blousy, loose cut. The elegant, wide neckline is a classic '70s Saint Laurent silhouette. Paired with a high-waist knee-length skirt, which fastens at the hip. Access is via three buttons and a zip to the left hand side with neatly concealed side pockets. This cotton two-piece hints at high-glamour - add a tan and piles of gold jewellery. The label reads “Saint Laurent Rive Gauche”, a reference to Paris’s younger and trendier left bank. Both the skirt and the top are in excellent vintage condition with no flaws of any note. Labelled a French 40 which equates to a UK 10 - 12 or US 4-6.
