Description
Runway documented Yves Saint Laurent floral print ensemble with a high low skirt from the spring summer 1984 collection. It has a colourful, almost pop art floral print in pink, red, purple, green and white tones against a chestnut brown background. The top is a very typical tunic style from the eponymous designer with a wide boat neck and a gathered puff short sleeve. Over the years he created many version of this top for both his Rive Gauche and Haute Couture collections.

The high low skirt is much shorter at the front and cascades down to full length at the back. It has a very wide flounce and is gently gathered at the fitted waistband with French hook and eye skirt placements. It is a very luxe boho look and featured prominently in the runway presentations in a variety of colourways.

In incredible vintage condition, the top and skirt look barely worn. The colours are very fresh, and the cotton still retains its sheen. We have replaced the elastic in the sleeves, which is a very common issue with this design. Both pieces are marked a French 38 and although the top is a generous size, the skirt measurements would best suit a UK size 8-10 or US 4-6.
