1990s Jean Paul Gaultier Floral Fisherman's Mesh Dress

Designed by Jean Paul Gaultier in the 1990s, this dress is a stand-out piece for any collector of the French avant-garde designer. Finished with peekaboo fisherman’s netting at the shoulders and on the bottom half of the skirt, the iconic, vibrant psychedelic print echoes the woven pattern of the net. Smothered in blown-up mint green, lilac and burgundy spots printed with intricate crochet-like detail, the stretch-mesh fabric creates Gaultier's infamous body-hugging silhouette on the wearer. The batwing sleeves form a V-back and a V-shape neckline. Made in Italy, the label reads “Jean Paul Gaultier Maille Femme”. This gown is presented in excellent vintage condition with no visable flaws. The mesh fabric retains all of its stretch. and the composition is 95% Polyamide, 5% Elastane. It is labelled a size medium and would best fit a UK 10-12 (US size 6-8). The perfect addition to your Gaultier archive.
