Description
Late 1990s to 2000s Lindka Cierach couture beaded dress which takes some of its inspiration from the Art Deco and flapper style dresses of the early 1920s, with a distinctly modern flair. It has a lovely weight to it, reflective of both its quality and the two layers of silk satin underlay, which make it extra comfortable for the wearer. The exterior is made up of a beautiful mink/taupe shade of silk chiffon with beaded overlay, in tones of silver, champagne and gold. The beading arrangements feature geometric lines of sequins, floral and star shapes, as well as eight spoke wheel designs sewn with tiny, almost iridescent beads. The dress is cut in a classic shift shape, with a slightly dropped hem, and fastens down the centre back with a neatly concealed zip, topped off with a hook and eye closure. It is in fabulous vintage condition, with no faults to note. This particular example of her work would best suit around a size 10 UK, or 6 US but could accommodate sizes either side, depending on fit.
