Description

This relaxed blazer-style jacket was designed by French fashion house Lanvin. We believe it was made during the reign of the brand’s lauded Creative Director Alber Elbaz sometime in the early 2010s. Tailored from a buttery soft, silk-mix velvet in a rich plum hue, it is cut to a laid-back, loose style that can just as easily be worn open or closed. The stand out detailing on this piece is the beautiful rawness of the hem, it is delicately frayed along the collar, lapels and cuffs; a very signature trait of Elbaz. This elegant piece is fully lined in black silk. It closes at the front with two large black silk-covered buttons. The cuffs are detailed with three black silk-covered buttons.

This piece is in excellent vintage condition with no flaws of any note. The composition label reads 80% Viscose, 20% Silk with a lining of 100% Silk. Made in Italy, it’s labelled a French size 42 and fairly true to size in our opinion which equates to a UK 12-14 or US 8-10. The fabric has no stretch.
