Louis Feraud 1980s Embroidered Blue Silk and Black Velvet Gown
Description
This striking Louis Feraud late 1980s evening gown with embroidered silk overlay is of exceptional quality and construction. The classic silhouette is deeply feminine, with a petite corseted bodice to accentuate the waist and a simple horizontal neckline with delicate ribbon straps. The full ball-gown style skirt is enhanced with an underlay of thick slate blue silk satin with thick velvet hem, followed by a further layer of stiff netting and a sateen slip beneath. The exquisite embroidered silk overlay adorns the dress in its entirety is a warm charcoal tone with a baroque style pattern in soft slate blue. The black velvet 4" waistband consolidates the piece beautifully and is echoed by the matching band at the hem. There is a concealed zip fastening to the left of the waist and hip. In superb condition this piece is notably petit at the bust and to fit a taller figure. Would best suit US size 0 - 2 , UK size 6.
