Y2K Chanel Sleeveless Black Floral Fine Knitted Buttoned Dress
Description
Chanel Spring 2005 collection dress made from a fine viscose and nylon mesh knit with some of the panels replicating lace with spaced geometric and floral motives that are woven into the design. It has a button up front with black engraved ‘CC’ buttons and a long tie that closes the scoop neckline. It has a low waisted peplum and the bottom of the dress has a decorative flounce.
Really lovely vintage condition; no issues of any note and labelled a French 38 which equates to a UK size 10, US size 6. Seen on our model, a UK size 6 to 8 so this also works really well on smaller sizes with some give to the fabric. We've looked hard for this on the runway and although other mesh designs were shown, this dress was not one to feature on the catwalk. Karl Lagerfeld for Chanel designs are gaining traction with collectors and this effortless design works really well layered with other Chanel pieces from the Y2K era.
