Description
A truly magnificent and rare 1920s flapper coat made up of shiny, subtle skins, hand sewn together into diagonal designs with a wide band of fur wrapped around then hemline. Typically 1920s in styling with a huge shawl collar and wrap style body. It closes either with the collar looped up to keep you warm or with the collar laid out like a shawl and fastening with a large button and loop below the hipline. It is fully lined, has the original silk underarm shields and the fur is like new with no dryness, wear or bald spots.

You usually see ermine furs in white so to find a coat in their summer colours of gorgeous reddish brown is extremely rare as ermine only change colour for a few short months and so this is much rarer than a white counterpart.

Incredible condition for something of its age with beautiful style details and would have been worn by a fabulously wealthy and probably titled lady of the day.  We estimate this can be worn comfortably by all sizes up to a UK 12 or US 8.
