Description

This dress walked the runway as look 10/41 of McQueen’s Spring 2019 show and was designed by creative director Sarah Burton. It was featured in the season's campaign look book on model Jill Kortleve. The dress is crafted from smooth silk/viscose digitally printed with flowers and foliage, set against a black background. Vogue reported that these florals were inspired by photographs the McQueen team took of hedgerows on a field trip to the English West Country. An asymmetric one-shoulder design, the fabric drapes around the body and hugs it, gathering atop the left hip before falling to the knee in a playful, flippy style. There is a cut-out over the left side of the waist, just below the bust. It is detailed with a scallop hem and criss-crossing fabric that looks like lacing. Inside, there is a boned, black mesh corset, which can also be seen through the cut-out. The dress fastens at the back with an exposed silver-toned zip and hook-and-eye. Lined with black silk throughout.

This dress is in excellent condition with no issues of any note. It is labelled a size Italian 44, UK 12 or US 8 but runs smaller - we think it best for a UK 10 or US 6 max. Unfortunately the composition labels have been removed but the fabric has no stretch.
