1990s Carlisle Silk Paisley Quilted Jacket with Velvet Trim

This vibrant 1990s vintage jacket by Carlisle is crafted from printed silk finished with black threaded quilting all-over. Superbly made, the print is an intricate paisley drawn in black outlines with emerald green, lilac, red, coral and palest grey detailing. The jacket is trimmed with thick black velvet around the neckline, down the front, around the bottom hem and at the cuffs. It is secured at the front with five decadent gold and black buttons and a hidden tonal black snap closure at the neck. The split cuffs are also finished with three of these pretty buttons. This beautiful jacket is lined with crimson red silk. The label reads, “Made in British Crown Colony of Hong Kong”; an area known for its exceptional garment making.

This jacket is very versatile as a layering piece and would work equally well as day wear or paired with finer separates for the evening. In excellent vintage condition with no flaws of any note and looks barely worn. It is made from 100% Silk and is labelled a US size 8 which is a UK 10 - 12; fairly true to size in our opinion. The fabric has no stretch.
