1950s French Multicoloured Rhinestone Brooch with Trombone Clasp

£295.00

Description

This high quality 1950s French brooch is designed in the form of a stylised leaf, crafted from a yellow gold-toned base metal. The surface is richly set with rhinestones and coloured stones in turquoise, clear, sky blue, black, and bronze hues, each secured with fine prong settings.

Towards the lower centre, delicate stalk-like elements are articulated through small gold-toned circular forms, adding depth and movement to the composition. The reverse reveals the intricate craftsmanship typical of mid-century French costume jewellery and this piece was likely produced in association with a haute couture atelier as it is without a maker's mark.

The brooch is fitted with a long pin stem and a traditional trombone clasp closure. Condition is excellent, with no visible issues.
