Description

This incredibly detailed, lavishly embellished Chanel brooch is from the Fall 1994 collection where the models were bedecked in jewellery made by the Gripoix atelier in France for Chanel. Taking the form of a lucky four leaf clover, it is crafted from a gold-plated base metal and detailed with green and red Gripoix glass paste cabochons alongside mother-of-pearl cabochons. The metal is intricately detailed with floral patterns and engraved to form zig-zagging rope-like forms. The back really shows the detail involved in the making of this brooch and features a long clasp which is secured with a C-clasp. It is engraved with the brand name, double-C logo and “94”. This brooch is in excellent vintage condition - there is no wear to the gold but there are a few extremely minor scratches to the plaque at the rear but these are noticeable when worn.
