1990s Louis Vuitton Cipango Gold Epi Leather Noe GM Bucket Bag
Description
An early 1990s Louis Vuitton Cipango Gold Epi Leather Noe GM Bucket Bag with brass hardware, adjustable and removable shoulder strap and drawstring closure. The GM "grand model" is the largest size bucket bag Louis Vuitton produced and is now discontinued. The "Noe" is based on a design from 1932 by Gaston-Louis Vuitton, originally created to carry bottles of champagne. Made from Epi leather which is firm and holds its shape well, contributing to the elegance and longevity of the design.
This bag is date stamped VI0963 and made in France by Louis Vuitton in March 1993. Condition is fair to good and she has been a very loved bag, showing signs of wear. There are some creases to the leather of the body of the bag where it has been tightened by the drawstrings. The lining is made from a charcoal coloured suede which has some bobbling around the top of the bag through use and there is also a small hole in the lining near the key hook. There is one small tear in the drawstrings and the corners at the bottom of the bag have some very minor signs of wear together with the strap. The base of the bag has some very faint marks. Please refer to our photographs - the bag does not come with a dustbag.
