1930s Gold Sequin and Beaded Belt
Description
Burnished gold sequins sit upon darkest grey linen cloth on this late 1920s to early 1930s made belt. The wider front of the belt displays sequins arranged in an Art Deco motive with abstract patterns swirling out towards the edges. Interspersed amongst the sequin arrangement are tiny gold beads which add texture and interest to the design. The belt fastens with two fabric-covered buttons that attach to woven loops on the end of the belt. It is in very good condition for a piece of 100 years of age, with no sequins or beads missing. The buttons can be adjusted to suit the waist of the wearer; they are currently set at a 30 in or 76 cm waist.
