1970s Dana Yellow Jersey Crop Top and Trousers with Braid Detail
Description
This early 1970s crop top and trouser ensemble by Dana is an early resort label piece manufactured on the French Cote d'Azur. Tailored from vibrant yellow jersey, it is detailed with chunky plaited braid. The top is cut to a stomach-revealing cropped length. It is sleeveless with a rounded neckline and waistband finished with braid. It fastens along the front with hidden snap closures and at the front of the neck with two hidden hook-and-eye clasps. It is slightly gathered at the waistband and neck, resulting in a slightly blouson fit and is unlined.
The trousers have a straight cut and are high-waisted. The waistband is finished with a detachable braid belt which threads through belt loops. The trousers fasten at the front with a hidden zip and a hidden button. The waistband of the trousers is lined with sheer white jersey; there are no pockets.
A superbly made ensemble and in excellent vintage condition with no issues. The fabric has some stretch and is labelled a vintage French 40 but please check our measurements carefully as both pieces run small and are better suited to a UK size 6-8, US 2-4.
