Description

I'm almost certain that this is a late 1960s wedding dress by Jean Varon who's designer, John Bates, was one of the best British fashion designers of his day and retailed at Harrods. With its sleeveless cut and wide boat-neck, this pretty summer dress is a gorgeous go-to for your big day. Layers of white chiffon cascade from the shoulders, trimmed with rows of sweet daisy lace. These layers meet at the rear and create a whimsical cape-like effect. A swirling full-skirt falls from the gathered waistband, composed of two layers of chiffon on a base of white acetate. Daisy lace is appliquéd either side of the rear zip. This dress has no brand label, all that remains is the dry cleaning label. It is presented in excellent vintage condition and is very fresh looking. A best fit for up to a UK size 10 or US 6. A best fit for up to a UK size 10 or US 6.
