Description

This antique wedding dress dates back to the mid or later part of the 1930s. Tailored from what appears to be a silk jacquard which slowly reveals intricately woven, painterly botanicals in barely there impressions. The rounded neckline and short-sleeves add a laid-back appeal, whilst the cascading, waterfall skirt adds a hint of drama. The pretty back draws the eye and is detailed with the fabric-covered buttons that are so of the era - zips had only just been invented! The perfect dress for a minimalist bride, this simple, classic gown is ready to be admired on your big day.

This wedding dress is in very good antique condition with the following notes. There is a tiny bit of fading to the botanical jacquard print on the skirt which is not noticeable when worn. The sleeves have been shortened as, due to age, the fabric had perished. There are no labels remaining in the dress but this is a well manufactured piece. The fabric does not have any stretch to it. We think it will work on sizes up to a UK 12 or US 8.
