1990 Documented Chanel Black Satin Bow Shoulder Pleated Mini Dress

This documented mini-dress was made by Chanel for the Fall 1990 ready to wear collection. We have attached editorial shots of the advanced collection with a short sleeve version; the runway has the dress strapless and paired with elbow length gloves. We think our version the nicest of the three designs; tailored from black silk satin, the straps are wide and adorned with large flat bows. The dress falls to an above-knee length with a drop-waist and a zig-zag hem, under which pleats fall to the bottom hem. The bust is cut straight across and is secured at the back with six decadent buttons made from gold-tone metal surrounding black silk satin. The dress is lined with matte black silk crepe.

In excellent vintage condition with no flaws of any note. It has no size or composition labels so please check our below measurements carefully as the fabric has no stretch. We estimate this will work for sizes up to a UK 10-12 or US 6-8.
