2010s Siah Howard Couture Elongated Denim Jacket Beadwork
Description
Siah Howard is a couture fashion label established in London in 2017. An eveningwear and wedding dress specialist, Howard’s fantastical designs are elaborate, elevated and otherworldly. This incredible couture-crafted denim jacket was handmade in England. Crafted from mid-blue cotton denim, it is compiled from vertical panels. Many signatures of a classic denim jacket are present - orange stitching, chest flap pockets, welt pockets at the waist - alongside Siah’s elaborate, avant-garde construction. The collar is upright, adding an elegant feel; the rear panels contain welt pockets; the hem is jagged and the front hangs open with no fastenings. The denim is distressed with raw hems and worn patches all-over. Decadently embellished with appliqué florals set on tulle, we see intricately detailed, beaded vines and blooms climbing the body in pistachio green, lilac, white and bronze, detailed with black beads. There is some graffiti-style bleach splattered across the front, and outlining some faded wording across the rear. The jacket is unlined but does have shoulder pads.
This attention-grabbing piece is in excellent condition, particularly for an ensemble of such intricate embellishment and may never have been worn. The retail tag, minus VAT, is over £8k. Due to being couture made, it has no size or composition label, so please check the measurements below carefully. The fabric has no stretch and we believe that this would best fit up to a UK 10 or US 6 and sizes smaller.
