1960s Blue Floral Accordion Pleat Print Dress with Belt
Description
This summery 1960s dress was couture made in France by a competent seamstress and is unlabelled. Crafted from soft feel nylon and printed with clusters of royal blue roses with teal leaves and a painterly pale blue background. The fabric is accordion pleated from the bust down, the pleats breaking only at the waist. The dress has a wide, curved neckline that gives way to thick straps. The skirt falls to calf-length and the dress is lined at the top with white nylon and is unlined at the skirt. It fastens at the back with a hidden silver-toned metal zip. A fabric belt accompanies the dress and is tailored from a coordinating floral cloth.
This dress is in excellent vintage condition with no issues and the accordion pleats still retain their crispness. A best fit for around a UK size 12, US size 8, with a smaller bust.
