1970s Bill Tice Pastel Abstract Print Kaftan Dress
Description
This vibrant late 1970s to early 1980s kaftan dress was designed by Bill Tice and retailed in Neiman Marcus. The designer was known for his glamorous, loungewear which had the look of evening wear. Made in Hong Kong, an area known for its exceptional garment making, it is tailored from a fluid, silk feel and look cloth printed with a striking abstract pastel print. We love the clashing tones of baby blue, lilac, coral, mint green, mauve and fuchsia, broken up with borders of white which make the colours really pop. The floor length dress has a soft V-neckline and huge batwing sleeves which are cropped. It encircles the body and has a slit in the left side of the skirt for ease of movement. The neckline is trimmed in lilac. The kaftan is unlined and pulls-on over the head.
In excellent vintage condition; one tiny pin-head sized stain on the back of the neck which cannot be seen when worn and a few very tiny pulled threads. It is labelled a size large but please check our measurements below; kaftans are meant to be worn loose and this will work on most sizes.
