Description

This pair of lingerie tap pants dates back to the late 1930s. The name 'tap pants' originates from shorts worn by tap dancers during this era, which had a fluid cut to allow ease of movement when practising routines. This style of lingerie bottom has become essential boudoir apparel and look great layered with modern knits and T-shirts. Tailored from pale pink-peach silk, this pair is trimmed with delicate champagne-hued lace detailed with intricate florals. The cobalt blue lettering on the original label reads 'The Lingerie Shop Birmingham'. A high-waist cut and stretchy elasticated waistband make these very wearable and they are in truly excellent vintage condition with no issues and virtually no signs of use. Will fit a very wide range of sizes due to the loose cut nature from UK 6 to UK 14 or US 2 - 10.
