1960s Cresta Couture Purple Floral Print Dress
Description
This is a beautiful 1960s design from quality British label Cresta Couture. It is a form fitting dress with an empire bust line. The floral composition is made up of purple hues against a white background and the fabric is a lightweight polyester that's made to look like silk. The unusual waistband detail is pleated into the style of a cummerbund across 3/4 of the width. There is a neat double fabric bow that sits on the left by an asymmetrical Princess seam. The skirt is a slim, pencil fit and finishes below the knee whilst the sleeves finish just above the elbow. It fastens to the back with the original metal zip and the cummerbund portion and the skirt are fully lined in quality acetate. This petticoat is separate to the dress and could even be removed if desired.
The condition of the dress is very good, on close inspection we note two small, faded marks in the white background as the dress heads towards the bottom hem that are not noticeable when worn. Best fit for a UK 6-8 or US 2-4.
