Description

Likely a British made bespoke or couture piece from the mid 1960s, this hot pink satin-silk cocktail dress has retained all of the vibrancy of when it was first designed. The high quality fabric and beadwork really makes the dress stand-out among other evening dresses of this era, as does the playful short length. It is cut to a sleeveless shift shape with a rounded neckline and lowered V-back. It has a peplum waist cut with a pretty scalloped hem. The fabric is embroidered across the bodice and peplum with heavy intricate beading; lines of transparent and silver-lined beads form glittering shapes that echo the curves of the tailoring. This dress is lined at the bust with nude mesh. It fastens at the rear with a hidden pink tonal zip and hook-and-eye clasp.

In excellent vintage condition and has no flaws of any note. Unlabelled and without a composition or size label, so please check the measurements below closely. The fabric has no stretch. The dress was a good fit on our model who is a UK 8-10 and 5ft 11in (180 cm) with a little room to spare on top.
