1970s Knitted White Wool Maxi Dress
Description
This 1970s knitted wool maxi dress has clearly been made with love and attention by a very good home knitter. It has a tighter knitted empire line bodice and a looser patterned ankle length skirt with horizontal rows of a geometric diamond-shaped pattern. The holes in the net are quite large and are therefore very see through which is great for showcasing modern underwear, a patterned slip or even a bikini! The bottom hem has a scalloped edge whilst the sleeves are fluted and the same pattern as the skirt. It isn’t labelled due to being homemade, but it's in really super vintage condition. It is very tactile and warm to the touch and would make a really unique and fun wedding dress. Best suited to a UK size 6 to 8 on account of the small bust line. Our model is a UK 8-10 and 5ft 11in. (180cm), this dress was a good fit on her.
