Description
An amazingly constructed dress by Jean Paul Gaultier in a black taffeta-like fabric.
It is sleeveless with a high collar that buckles at the back of the neck. The bodice is fitted at the front to a high waist, and backless other than two wide side straps. It has a side zip fastening, with a matching belt and buckle which is elasticated at the back of the waist.
The skirt flares out stiffly at the front to just above the knee, and has two diagonal poppered pockets. At the back it is longer and gathered at the hem, parka-style, with a cord which ties on the inside and is finished with popper detail.
