2006 Prada Runway Documented Black Silk and Red Rose Print Dress
Description
This archival Prada midi dress displays many of the elevated, feminine trademarks that have become a part of Miuccia Prada’s signature style. A very well documented piece it featured on the runway as part of the Fall 2005 collection, look 45/53, and the campaign that season. Tailored from a weighty, smooth black silk printed with bold roses in red, raspberry and burgundy hues. The silhouette recalls classic 1950s shapes, rendered exciting and contemporary as only Prada can. It has a graceful raised neckline which closes with hidden fabric-covered snap closures. The sleeves are slightly cropped to show off the wrist, and have a lightly puffed-shoulder to add drama. The skirt attaches to the cinched waist with a raw, frayed hem. It is softly pleated and falls to below the knee. The thick silk holds its shape and adds volume around the hips - emphasising a feminine figure. Lined throughout with matte black silk. It fastens under the left arm with a hidden tonal zip.
In excellent vintage condition with no flaws of any note. It is 100% Silk. The size label states that this is an Italian 42, which equates to a UK 10 or US 6 but please double-check our measurements below. The fabric has no stretch.
