Description

World-famous fashion house Givenchy was headed by artistic director Clare Waight Keller between 2017 and 2020. Keller filtered the house’s strong historical references through her lens of fluid romanticism. A turquoise blue version of this dress walked the runway as Look 27/60 for the brand’s Spring 2019 Ready-to-Wear show. Tailored from a heavy silk-mix jersey which is draped to flow over the body and skim its curves. The generously cut cloth is gathered from the bust down, broken only by a thick asymmetric waistband. The full skirt falls to an asymmetric waterfall hem which sweeps the floor at its longest point, the train. At the front, it has a slit which is only revealed as the wearer walks. The straps are off-kilter; one is a wide strap across the shoulder, and the other is a full-length, slim-cut sleeve. A V-neckline is formed where these sleeves meet. The dress is unlined. It fastens under the right arm with a hidden tonal black zip.

In excellent unworn condition. The jersey is 92% Viscose, 8% Silk, and the lining at the bust is 80% Polyamide, 20% Elastane. It is labelled a French size 36, UK 8 or US 4 but sizes vary between brands, so please check our measurements below carefully. The fabric has no stretch.
