2007 Jenny Packham Teal Sequinned Slip Dress
Description
Jenny Packham sequin-smothered gown, probably Fall 2007 collection. This striking teal colour was featured extensively on similar runway designs and this was the designer label briefly used circa 2005-2007. Tailored from silk teal chiffon with a semi-sheer finish, the silhouette is incredibly flattering, skimming the body and giving way to a full skirt that falls to the floor. Recalling disco-ready designs of the 1970s, it is covered in panels of teal sequins, adorned in stripes that echo the curves of the tailoring and emphasise the waist. A panel of teal mesh sits across the low V-shaped bust. Two thin spaghetti straps, also crafted from teal chiffon, rise over the shoulders and cross over the sensuous low-cut back. The dress is fully lined in teal satin. It fastens under the left arm with a hidden tonal teal zip and hook-and-eye clasp.
From the mainline collection of the renowned British designer and occasion-wear specialist, the dress is in very good vintage condition with minimal losses to the elaborate sequin-work. A longer length so would suit taller women and the dress is labelled a size UK 10 or US 6. Please check our measurements below as this piece has no stretch.
