Jean Paul Gaultier 1990s PVC Sweatshirt With Arrow Design

This unusual Jean Paul Gaultier black PVC sweatshirt, circa 1994, with soft cotton lining has some distinctive features synonymous with this celebrated designer's trademark urban sensibilities and is from the "Constructivist Russian" Collection. The sweater is cut to a curve on either side of the waist and Raglan shoulders emulate a casual feel to to garment which is accessed only once the zip running the length of the left arm is loosened. The front is embellished with a striking downwards facing arrow design, stitched into the fabric to create an embossed quality reminiscent of biker style leatherwear. Small details such as the punch hole reinforced ventilation holes beneath the arms and arrow shaped zip pulls remind us of the care and remarkable attention to detail for which Gaultier is extolled. In superb condition, there is no sizing label present but would best fit US size 6, UK size 10.
