1930s Pale Pink Sheer Ribbonwork Dress and Short-Sleeve Jacket

This true vintage 1930s dress is made of incredibly detailed fabric; a peachy pink tulle net with an overlay of elaborate, swirling tonal ribbon work. The dress is full-length and falls in a relaxed, curve-skimming column shape to the floor - a silhouette typical of this era. The dress has a low back. The neckline and curve of the back are trimmed with pretty net ruffles in a pale nude hue. The straps are crafted from coordinating ribbon work-detailed cloth. This dress is unlined and, as such, would need a slip underneath, or be perfect for playing to the sheer trend. It fastens under the left arm with snap closures and hook-and-eyes. The dress comes with an elegant matching short-sleeve jacket. Cut to a cropped length, it has a loose fit and relaxed open-collared neckline. The front closes with three hidden snap closures. The jacket is also unlined.

In excellent antique condition; it is very wearable and with no flaws. We have carefully laundered and restored in our showroom which houses over 200, 1930s dresses. No labels are present and this was probably made by a society dressmaker of the day as the work is very fine. It has no stretch to the fabric and is suitable for sizes UK 8, US 4 and smaller.
