Description

This 1970s maxi-dress is crafted from rich white cheesecloth. It has elbow-length, fluttering sleeves and falls to the ankle. The dress is trimmed with off-white crochet around the neckline, cuffs and bust and a thicker band of crochet around the waist - with no lining behind it, this panel has a skin-flashing peekaboo effect. The stand out detail of this pretty dress is the cross-stitch panel across the front; sewn onto cheesecloth, it is detailed with vibrant aqua, candy-pink, red and yellow blooms alongside green foliage. The dress is unlined and fastens at the back with a pale pink zip. The waist can be cinched with two cheesecloth ties which are attached to the side of the waist.

This piece is in excellent vintage condition with no flaws of any note. No designer or size labels remain in the dress so please check our measurements below. There is no composition label and the fabric has no stretch. We believe this would best fit a size UK 8-10 or US 4-6 with a small waist.
