Description

This is a delightful 1930s pink slip lingerie dress that has a set of interesting labels. The first being the design label 'Eros' Made in England and the second being a trademark label for Celanese which was an acetate fibre that claimed to be softer and stronger than silk satin. The slip is edged in a nude coloured machine lace trim around the v-neckline with floral and leaf arrangement lace inserts on the bust. It has a V-panel and a sloping empire waistline towards the side seams. There are two little fabric ties to pull the slip in at just above the waist towards the back and it falls to around mid-calf length.

Condition is really excellent; the satin retains all of its sheen and this one looks barely worn if at all. We note just the tiniest age related mark on a side seam by the armpits but this is of no consequence for a slip of this age. Due to the loose waist and I would say this would fit easily up to a UK 12-14 or US 8-10 and of course, sizes smaller. Our model is a UK 8-10 and 5ft 11in. (180cm) and this dress was a good fit on her.
