1950s Black Strapless Vintage Dress With Sweetheart Neckline and Lace Trim

This seductive 1950s black silk satin cocktail dress is of superb quality and construction and in excellent vintage condition.
The dress features a sweetheart neckline in soft black netting with a nude satin underlay and lace ruffle embellishment over the bust. There are spaghetti straps, princess seams along the bodice and a slightly dropped, curved waistline atop of a classic 50s full skirt to create a beautiful hourglass silhouette. There is some boning in the bodice for extra support, and a central zip fastening at the reverse. The piece is unlabelled although we believe it to be made in the US. Would best suit US size 4, UK size 8.
